A conservative Indo-Canadian family in small-town British Columbia must come to terms with a devastating secret: three sisters were sexually abused by an older relative beginning in their childhood years. After remaining silent for nearly two and a half decades, the sisters finally decide to come forward—not only to protect other young relatives, but to set an example for their daughters as well.

Such a powerful documentary , I was riveted to my seat at the end, hoping for the most dreadful punishment for the uncle, and at last acknowledgement of what the women endured. The disappointment of seeing once again our spineless Canadian "justice" system fail miserably. This is the reason why women don't come forward - there no there is no hope of being redeemed by the courts. This is why men continue to treat women like garbage - because they know the patriarchal laws will support them and cover their gutless deeds. This video should shame every person involved in the legal system in Canada and spur on some action to have these laws changed. How can we be proud to be Canadian with such barbaric practices continuing?
