I was really emotional when I saw this film. My mother, Margaret L. Stobo ,was the little blond girl of the three girls who gave flowers to the Queen Mother in Quebec City. All three dressed in white, she Scottish, another Irish and the third, French. My mother kept her dress and headdress all her life and in the ninties donated the pieces to the Lt. governor of Quebec and are now part of a collection. She told me that the three of them practiced and practiced before the flower presentation. When they were presented to the royal couple she was asked her name and the Queen Mother said" Oh! A little Scottish Girl" my mother was always tickled pink about that. After the ceremony she said it was quite scary for them as they were left to fend for themselves in such a huge crowd and not knowing where their parents were. Those three were not very old, under ten years old. My mother at the time lived across from the park at 50 St. Louis Road. The house is still there. - Lindsay Thomson.
