Generations of Fredericton musicians are showcased. Both parents and their children share how music impacted their family dynamic and musical influences. In some cases, band relationships evolve into family. From folk to hip hop, country to rock, and blues to punk, ‘family’ has had a beneficial effect on the entire scene.
The Capital Project is a documentary series that explores the thriving and eclectic music scene in Fredericton, New Brunswick, from 2017 until 2020. New Brunswick’s capital city may have a small population compared to other cities in Canada, but per capita it’s music community is arguably unmatched. The filmmakers interweave performances and interviews with musicians on a variety of subjects that explore Fredericton’s incredible local music scene in an expansive, exciting and educational 10 part series.
