This feature-length film introduces viewers to Soraida, a Palestinian woman who lives in Ramallah. In her neighbourhood the women do not all wear veils, the men do not rattle off empty political slogans, the young people do not strap bombs to their belts, and the children play together like kids everywhere. Taking us into the daily existence of Soraida, her family and neighbours, the film compels us to ask fundamental questions about life in the Middle East.

Long métrage à présenter avant d’aborder la question du conflit Palestiniens/Israéliens. Suite au visionnage, l’enseignant pourrait demander aux élèves d’approfondir le sujet en les incitant à effectuer une recherche sur les origines du conflit, mais également concernant certains concepts-clés mentionnés durant le film comme l’Intifada, la notion d’invasion, le rôle des Britanniques dans ce conflit, la signification des années 1948 et 1967, le rôle du Président Arafat, la ville de Ramallah, etc.
