Asthma Tech

Filmmaker Jonathan Ng turns the notion of otherness on its head in his semi-autobiographical animated short about young, whimsical, asthmatic Winston. As a result of his illness, Winston is unable to participate in the everyday activities of his peers and classmates. But thanks to his artistic ability and one particularly rainy afternoon, Winston learns that his imagination has the power to bridge gaps, transform and empower. Part of the Talespinners 2 collection.

      «Liked this short film. Was watching it intently and reminded me of my childhood when I was like that. Not exactly a super hero but some one who could not breath, could not play, got irritated when some one talked to me...... All that disappeared as I grew up (I don't know how) Must appreciate the sound quality here. First of the sound of the child coughing sounds so genuine. Exactly like a child having breathing problem. The music throughout the movie was good and effective. Good work Jonathan.»
