«I am so happy this movie has come out to expose the "industry" of "pink". There are some great causes for Breast Cancer but when pink ribbons are on m&m's (when sugar feeds cancer), water bottles, cosmetics. etc.Items that increase the risk of Breast Cancer then something is terribly wrong. I got involved in the Pink and Green Campaign about 6 years ago with the the women in Canmore Alberta. Their message (and mine) is PREVENTION, tips on REDUCING your risk. That 85% of cancers are environmental, 200 chemicals are being found in the umbilical cord!! We need to clean up the earth, eliminate the toxins that we breath, eat and drink. It is so true what we do to the earth we mirror in ourselves and right now we are polluting the earth faster than it can replenish itself. Lets support each other and promote - Love your body, love your planet, love your life:)www.pinkandgreenribbon.ca»
«I could never bring myself to donate to this cause, even locally. My mother had breast cancer. She was diagnosed in stage four and fought valiantly for four years. She decided to fight it nutritionally and only used heavy duty meds four times, towards the end. We took her on wonderful vacations, where she was able to hike and climb and laugh and enjoy herself with family and friends. I don't mean to say that everyone should give in to the disease, she was 76 when she was diagnosed. But had she gone through the rigors of chemo and radiation, she'd have been tied up the rest of her life. I will give for natural solutions (others can give where their heart leads). I miss her greatly, but her last years were quality, that's what I want to contribute to new, more natural solutions.»
«As a breast cancer survivor, I am deeply uncomfortable with the pink washing of this illness to sell products. I've always been interested in nutrition, so I am aware that many of the pink ribbon products are carcinogenic. Given that so many of the cancer industry's (yes, it's a business) major funders are contributing to the toxicity of our planet and person, it's no wonder that they focus all of their prevention efforts on individuals—they obviously don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. It's about time someone exposed the hypocrisy and manipulation behind the pink ribbon. Thank you for making this film. »
«What a great thing you are doing with this film. I lost my younger sister to breast cancer after 7 years of non-stop chemotherapy and suffering. She was recruited by the Relay for Life and lived to regret all the work she did for them . . . learning that the money she thought was going to the community she loved was being sent to another state! Anyway, we formed another organization that is all about cancer prevention - primary cancer prevention and support for those caught in the cancer trap. I am so very proud of those who have made this documentary. I would like to show it in Alamogordo, NM if you would allow me to . . . Please take a look at our web site and you will understand more about what we do and why. Again, thank you for me, my baby sister Judy, and our whole family. «I am intrigued and curious to see the doc. I have been thinking about the "holes" shall we say in the overall Pink Ribbon Campaign and have wondered why it has taken sooooooo long for people to question the power of this advertising icon and if this "Pink Powered" wheel is funding legitimate research or lining hi-brow pockets. I suspect that "I" will be dissappointed. I think that there/are cures know to great researchers, but the politics of disease control and sustainability has shut them up!»
«WILL this play in the US? I WANT TO WATCH THIS!! I am in Chicago»

«Pink Ribbon Inc. Red Ribbon Inc. Disease Inc. The world of disease research and fundraising would appear to often lose it's way, as profits, slogans and a dogmatic status quo come to trump prevention and the search for safe and effective cures. Most disease research and fundraising seem to me to have entered the same quagmire. This and other films challenging the use of funds and the direction of research are the beginning of a huge paradigm shift, and offer real hope of progress. Open dialogue and true accountability are a real first step in this process. I salute the filmmakers.»
«excellent, excellent documentary. Very well done and sends out powerful messages. EVERYONE needs to watch this. Thank you for releasing it! »
«thank goodness a film has come about featuring the exact thought I have been thinking about this pink ribbon campaign. I am appalled at how the "cure" for breast cancer has been marketed. CURE! what about cause. Who cares about a cure...let's stop getting it in the first place. I believe it is known what is causing breast cancer and it just isn't in the best interest of industries contributing to the cause to stop it. »
«Where is this showing in Cincinnati? I would have expected it to be either at the Esquire or Kenwood Theaters.»
«Thank you, thank you...thank you. Thank you for making this film. Through it people will finally see the truth... I hope. »
«Thank you so much for FINALLY EXPOSING the great PINK RIBBON Cancer FRAUD! God, so many are so "Brainwashed" with this ongoing LIE when cancer is already and has been CURABLE! See Dr. Burzynski clinic, also on facebook, Twitter. The LIES MUST STOP!!!!»
«So much has been revealed since SGK defunded Planned Parenthood. I don't know if these facts will come to light in the film, but I hope so. The salaries are top heavy, and SKG buys stock in pharma & other corporations that supply products or equipment relating to breast cancer treatment. One controversial drug (tamoxifen) for breast cancer has links to uterine cancer, and SGK was the only breast cancer group to endorse it....The drug company that makes tamoxifen is in the SGK's portfolio. Very little of SKG's project money is spent on treatment. Most of the project money (46%) is spent on "education." I would like to see how that breaks down, but those TV ads aren't cheap. SGK spends huge amount of money on legal fees to stop the use of the word "cure" as they go after sincere efforts by small groups. "Cure" is their intellectual property -- they think. Only 20% of money raised goes to research. Wouldn't you expect more? And wouldn't you expect more than 7% to go toward treatment? I was truly shocked.»
«I've always been suspicious of the overly marketed pink ribbon campaign. So good to see a film documenting the inequity between campaign proceeds and cancer research.»
«with this effort a cure is closer. all my energy to you and this effort»
«Thank you soooo much for bringing matters like this one to the forefront. This assists people to become educated about the way a corporation works. For profit!!!»
«This is so important!! Thank you for tackling the real issues!! http://www.bcam.qc.ca/content/conversation-dr-jack-siemiatycki-epidemiologist»
«AT LONG LAST! Its been a long time coming! According to Dr. Jack Siemiatycki, world renowned epidemiologist, the proportion of the total cancer research budget devoted to environmental research is somewhere between 1% and 3% of the total cancer research budget in Canada. In other words, very little indeed is allocated to the causes and preventions of cancer...Could that be because cancer generates so much $$$$ ??http://www.bcam.qc.ca/content/conversation-dr-jack-siemiatycki-epidemiologist»
«After volunteering as the media chair in 2010 at the relay for life in Pictou county Nova Scotia , I saw far more than I had anticipated , this is a huge scam and it was heart wrenching for me to see first hand !!!! »
«cancer is cancer no matter where it is on the body of in the body and is caused by the same thing...We try to separate it like the womens breast are not part of the body...»
«Let me start by saying that I am not a breast cancer survivor...mine is a battle of a different sort...I have two little boys with cancer...however both my grandmother and my godmother died from breast cancer. That being said I can't wait to see this! Ppl get all up in arms when I say I don't support sgk or acs or eve lls...but the bottom line is that so many of these massive orgs are just abusing what our loved ones have been through and what they are going through...and it is infuriating. Do I want the gold ribbon to be known? Yes...but I don't believe that any org or company or whatever should make the amount of money that they do off of anyone elses misfortune...I do realize they have to make a paycheck and that running an org is a full time gig...but what they make is excessive and quite freankly makes me sick. And I refuse to buy anything with a ribbon on it unless I know ALL of the proceeds are going to it's advertised cause...bottom line is they are making victims out of victims and its disgusting. Can't wait to see this movie!»
«I was so glad to hear the gal in the trailer mention how many of us feel that we are being used by the pinko business. Count me as one! I understand how women get into the sisterhood, but that is how they continue to use us. I have tried to speak out and have gotten slammed by those who truly believe they are helping women like me who have survived this disease. The truth will set us free! I hope this will be in the US soon.»
