I would have loved to have met Bill before he passed on. I have watched this video a couple of times and always learn something every time I watch it. I used to use the goon stroke all the time until seeing this video. I used the j-stroke on the Lower French River and it is by far a faster paddle stroke.

Instructional paddle books just don't do it for me. This is the first time I have been able to see how the different strokes work. A wonderful film for novice paddlers like myself.
