Pourquoi a-t-il fallu tant de temps avant que soit reconnue la contribution des soldats autochtones à la Deuxième Guerre mondiale? En quoi les troubles de stress post-traumatique dont ceux-ci ont souffert et les politiques de réintégration du gouvernement canadien ont-ils contribué à aggraver des problèmes qui n’étaient toujours pas résolus des décennies plus tard? Les élèves établissent la comparaison et le contraste entre la façon dont ont été traités les soldats – autochtones et non autochtones – de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, et ceux qui ont pris part à la Guerre de Corée et à la mission en Afghanistan.
