Synopsis

Filmmaker Albert Kish revisits Montreal's St Lawrence Boulevard in the '70s. The street, also known as "The Main," is a little Europe with many languages, foods and small courtesies that make a stranger feel at home.

«Not really a very good film, as it does not show much of the old Main I have seen much better films about the Main in this era.»

«Thank you for showing me the old shots of the street cars. My immigrant parents and I used to take them, six cents, to go to Rachel kosher poultry market. I like the presentation of present immigrants. Would have liked to see more of the local French Canadiens in the film but understand one must focus.»
